U.S. visa issuances in April 2020

U.S. posts issued 46,855 nonimmigrant visas in April 2020, fewer than the 400,503 of the previous month and -94% against the same month a year earlier (808,859).
1,521 immigrant visas were issued in the month, against 38,573 a year earlier.
The largest posts were Monterrey (28,570), Tijuana (4,181) and Nuevo Laredo (3,307); 166 posts appear in the month's tables.
H2A at 66.8%, H2B at 20% and B1/B2 at 6.4% made up the largest shares of the month's nonimmigrant issuances.
