IR5 is the State Department's symbol for "Parent of U.S. citizen at least 21 years of age". 9,027 IR5 immigrant visas were issued worldwide in September 2025, up 28% on September 2024 (7,058), 19.6% of the month's immigrant issuances and the 1st largest class of 49.

The Department publishes annual totals for immigrant classes separately, in its Report of the Visa Office immigrant visa tables, which this site does not yet carry; this site does not add monthly reports together.
