U.S. visa issuances in August 2019
The reports below contain preliminary data which are subject to change. U.S. posts issued 742,031 nonimmigrant visas in August 2019, about the same as the 810,378 of the previous month and -10% against the same month a year earlier (824,176).
38,090 immigrant visas were issued in the month, against 46,511 a year earlier.
The largest posts were Mexico City (61,060), Sao Paulo (30,747) and Shanghai (27,877); 222 posts appear in the month's tables.
B1/B2 at 58%, BBBCC at 13.4% and F1 at 5.9% made up the largest shares of the month's nonimmigrant issuances.
