U.S. visa issuances in January 2023

U.S. posts issued 842,689 nonimmigrant visas in January 2023, about the same as the 747,686 of the previous month and +103% against the same month a year earlier (414,383).

44,495 immigrant visas were issued in the month, against 33,039 a year earlier.

The largest posts were Monterrey (55,552), Mexico City (53,090) and Guadalajara (44,495); 216 posts appear in the month's tables.

B1/B2 at 56.6%, BBBCC at 22.2% and C1/D at 3.4% made up the largest shares of the month's nonimmigrant issuances.
