U.S. visa issuances in April 2023

U.S. posts issued 850,597 nonimmigrant visas in April 2023, fewer than the 1,109,079 of the previous month and +40% against the same month a year earlier (605,651).
49,640 immigrant visas were issued in the month, against 41,862 a year earlier.
The largest posts were Monterrey (50,486), Mexico City (48,632) and Bogota (44,839); 217 posts appear in the month's tables.
B1/B2 at 55.9%, BBBCC at 14.7% and J1 at 5.3% made up the largest shares of the month's nonimmigrant issuances.
