U.S. posts issued 938,911 nonimmigrant visas in August 2023, about the same as the 861,186 of the previous month and +25% against the same month a year earlier (754,062).
49,208 immigrant visas were issued in the month, against 57,137 a year earlier.
The largest posts were Sao Paulo (59,793), Monterrey (52,298) and Mexico City (47,334); 217 posts appear in the month's tables.
B1/B2 at 58.4%, BBBCC at 16% and F1 at 6% made up the largest shares of the month's nonimmigrant issuances.
