U.S. visa issuances in August 2021

U.S. posts issued 333,506 nonimmigrant visas in August 2021, about the same as the 355,388 of the previous month and +253% against the same month a year earlier (94,416).
45,491 immigrant visas were issued in the month, against 6,100 a year earlier.
The largest posts were Monterrey (34,374), Mexico City (22,371) and Tijuana (13,637); 218 posts appear in the month's tables.
B1/B2 at 29.3%, F1 at 18.1% and BBBCC at 17.6% made up the largest shares of the month's nonimmigrant issuances.
