U.S. visa issuances in January 2022

U.S. posts issued 414,383 nonimmigrant visas in January 2022, about the same as the 435,665 of the previous month and +199% against the same month a year earlier (138,544).
33,039 immigrant visas were issued in the month, against 11,880 a year earlier.
The largest posts were Mexico City (41,063), Monterrey (34,486) and Sao Paulo (20,170); 216 posts appear in the month's tables.
B1/B2 at 47.6%, BBBCC at 19.8% and H2A at 4.1% made up the largest shares of the month's nonimmigrant issuances.
