U.S. posts issued 931,915 nonimmigrant visas in August 2024, about the same as the 960,883 of the previous month and -1% against the same month a year earlier (938,911).

62,077 immigrant visas were issued in the month, against 49,208 a year earlier.

The largest posts were Sao Paulo (57,116), Monterrey (53,363) and Mexico City (48,154); 217 posts appear in the month's tables.

B1/B2 at 62.9%, BBBCC at 15.6% and F1 at 4.2% made up the largest shares of the month's nonimmigrant issuances.
