U.S. posts issued 883,999 nonimmigrant visas in May 2017, about the same as the 735,004 of the previous month.

55,074 immigrant visas were issued in the month.

The largest posts were Shanghai (55,087), Beijing (54,729) and Guangzhou (42,179); 223 posts appear in the month's tables.

B1/B2 at 64.7%, BBBCC at 7.6% and J1 at 7.1% made up the largest shares of the month's nonimmigrant issuances.
