U.S. visa issuances in January 2024

U.S. posts issued 875,162 nonimmigrant visas in January 2024, about the same as the 755,973 of the previous month and +4% against the same month a year earlier (842,689).

50,517 immigrant visas were issued in the month, against 44,495 a year earlier.

The largest posts were Monterrey (56,719), Mexico City (56,223) and Sao Paulo (44,336); 216 posts appear in the month's tables.

B1/B2 at 61.6%, BBBCC at 18.9% and C1/D at 3.1% made up the largest shares of the month's nonimmigrant issuances.
